Including revised editions, I've published more than a dozen books with major publishers, such as Writer's Digest Books, Betterway Publications and Children's Press. Here is the most recent of my many nonfiction books published. The Young Writer's Guide to Getting Published This 6th edition from 2001 is most near and dear to my heart as it represents the end of a journey first begun in 1984. Published by Writer's Digest Books since the 4th edition, WDB finally added it to the 'out-of-publish' bin in 2003. However, I will be resurrecting it soon in a completed new, updated and downloadable e-book format. Over on my Young Writer Network site, young writers have been waiting patiently for the new release. It was originally titled, Market Guide for Young Writers. It was named one of the 100 "Best Book for Teens" by the New York Public Library.  The Oklahoma Writer's Federation bestowed its 1986 'Cheribum Award" for best children's book published, the first time ever awarded to a non-fiction book. The basic how-to information is still valid, for young writers ages 18 and under, as well as for older writers who need to know the basics of getting published. And, I still received many letters and emails from young writers around the world who share their many publishing successes and disappointments, as well as from parents, teachers and adult writers (published and not) who thank me for providing this reference book.
